Scenes from the Past > Inscribed "Steamer Western States." Photograph of a drawing.  The Western States was a sidewheel passenger and freight ferry, built in 1902 by the Detroit Shipbuilding Company as hull #145. It was US 81811. She ran between Detroit and Cleveland.
